ABOUT US
Founded in 2012 by Dr. James Smouse, Cherry Log Oral Surgery was established to provide comprehensive oral surgery care to residents in the North Georgia mountains. This pristine environment provides the perfect setting for focusing on community-based patient care. Dr. Smouse retired in late 2017, passing the mission of the practice to Dr. John Pritchett to continue well into the future.
The Cherry Log Oral Surgery team strives to positively influence our community through outstanding personalized service, dedication to education, and providing a comfortable and pleasant surgery experience to everyone we encounter.
PROCEDURES
Extractions
Removal of one or multiple teeth to facilitate dental rehabilitation or treat pain, swelling, and infection.
Wisdom Teeth
Removal of wisdom teeth to prevent or treat disease and pathology associated with impacted teeth
Dental Implants
Permanent replacement for missing teeth, either by fixed bridge units, removable dentures, or whole-mouth rehabilitation
Preprosthetic Surgery
Preparation of jaw bones and supporting tissue to allow for removable denture or fixed bridge placement.
Oral Pathology
Evaluation, biopsy, and removal of oral pathology lesions.

Providing all treatment comfortably with affordable in-office anesthesia
Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Surgical treatment for patients who cannot tolerate CPAP
Corrective Jaw Surgery
Jaw (orthognathic) surgery to correct facial deformity and bite in conjunction with orthodontics
